The Luminos Duo

The repertoire of the Luminos Duo from Tigard, Oregon has a variety of styles including: 50s-60s-70s rock, New Orleans rumba-boogie, reggae, blues, jazz and Brazilian bossa. They also play some of their original songs.
Julie sings in Portuguese, French, Spanish and English and plays a rosewood flute, and an alto flute.
She is a classically trained percussionist and in the duo she plays bongos, guiro, castanets and other hand percussion.
Fritz plays a digital grand piano and sings.
Recently they revamped their songlist from playing with their band to working as a duo. They have built a repertoire of 88 songs allowing them to customize their set list for each event.
EVENTS
Their next scheduled public performance is on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 503 Uncorked,a wine & whiskey bar in Sherwood Oregon’s Historic Old Town District. 503uncorked.com
September 5th of this year was their first public performance since their revamp. That was at 503 Uncorked where they played to a full house.
Last year (2024) they returned to performing live and played at private garden parties in Lake Oswego and SW Portland, at a yacht club, at a very lively Celebration of Life gathering, and at holiday parties.
They performed for years with their group Luminos, and released two CDs of original music. Both of them have played in jazz bands, rock groups, classical orchestras, churches, and provided music for weddings and memorial services. They've played in Hawaii, Europe and the Caribbean.
Julie and Fritz met at Wilson High School in Portland and have played music together ever since.
